The Tampa Bay Poodle Club was started in 1963 by a group of devoted poodle fanciers. The club now has members who love and train their poodles to all aspects of poodle skills. We have Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Hunting, Herding, Flyball, etc etc.
The Tampa Bay Poodle Club's purpose is to encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred poodles and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which all poodles shall be judged. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials. To conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows and obedience trials (and field trials) under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
The Tampa Bay Poodle Club meets on the second (2nd) Tuesday of each month with the exceptions of January and July when we hold our monthly meeting at our Speciality Show site and June due to PCA's National Speciality Show.
We hold our monthly meetings at the Honeywell Minreg Building, 6202 - 126th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Fl 34643. Our meetings usually start at 7:30pm, unless we have a special program. Please send an email for the current month's time and program.
